The Monthly Book Discussion for April will be the Long Island reads selection: The Manor: Three Centuries at a Slave Plantation on Long Island by Mac Griswold. The book tells the story of one of the North’s earliest plantations, located in Shelter Island. Today the land operates as a nonprofit educational foundation and organic farm. Copies of the book will be available March 20 at the Adult Reference Desk on a first come, first served basis.
